Product Description of Iron On Sublimation Heat Transfer Vinyl

Sublimation heat transfer vinyl is a printable heat transfer vinyl that is printed by printing a heat sublimation transfer ink onto the vinyl, then the printed vinyl is heated and pressurized with the fabric overlapping, and the dye on the vinyl is sublimated and transferred to the fabric in a vapor phase.

The main feature is that the transfer image is colorful, richly layered, and comparable to printing. The difference with printing is that the dye in the transfer ink is sublimated by heat and penetrates into the molecular structure of the object, which then condenses to form a brightly colored image. The image will not fall off, crack or fade, so sublimation heat transfer products have the added advantage of being durable.

There are five printing methods for sublimation heat transfer technology: gravure, letterpress, lithography (offset), screen printing, and digital printing.

The production process of heat transfer vinyl is similar to the printing process, i.e. the original text, drawings, photographs, etc. are transferred to the base paper in the form of offset printing (or gravure or screen printing) through the process of plate making, inking, and pressurization.

Sublimation Heat Transfer Inks

Sublimation thermal transfer inks are also known as thermal transfer inks where the printed text on special paper can be transferred to other materials by contact heating.
